★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If anyone remembers the TV show Cheers, then you'll sort of get the idea of the social atmosphere here. I just happened across this place walking on the road looking for something to eat and I'm so glad I walked in.
I sat at the bar and the staff patiently took my custom, no-meat order but then it all got different from there. They each introduced themselves and really took the time to get to know me. Then, they introduced me to their regular patrons, too. Soon, I felt like I'd been a regular forever.
But it's not just about the social atmosphere. The bartenders reallt are expert mixologists, complete with magician-like pours and smoke effects. The kitchen served regular bar food like deep fried onion rings but also unexpectedly served up a vegetarian risotto that looked like it was in pursuit of a Michelin star.
I'll definitely add this to my list of places to visit often while in Taipei.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy and warm atmosphere. Cocktails were impressive and awesome! Friendly service. The waitress even bought a shot for us. Food was good but small portion. Nice bistro for having a drink with friends.
