★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in the center of Taiwan, near the famous hot spring sauna area Guguan. The weather is moderate year round, and easy access to nearby mountain trails the Great Seven Trail Guguan, elevation ranging 2,000 to 2,800 meters quite a challenge!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful drive up, there are also busses that will take you close but you'd need to hike up from the main road. The hikes are pleasant and varied to suit athletes and couch potatoes alike.
They also have dining and lodging available. I can only speak to the dining which was a bit pricey (but only by local standards: ~450 per plate).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So glad to be able to visit this deep and high mountain ?!!! Climbing these stairs did make me feel energized and exhausted at the time. Certainly increases appetite at dinner. LOL!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hiking trails for any experience level. A great restaurant with good food and thoughtful servers at the entrance. Clear mountain water from visitor center's dispensers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 250 twd for one person and a car to access the park. So expensive for this small forest! Some routes were not accessible. And the route I took should be about one day according to the map, but after 1h15min I finished them...... I recommend to take the blue route! Super cool!
