★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, like most "old streets" in Taiwanese villages, but lively and beautiful. Many food stalls and shops, many dedicated to Hakka cuisine and to "lei cha", the Hakka grounded tea. The centerpiece is of course the temple at the heart of the street. Parking is an issue. If arriving with a car park immediately to the left upon entering Beipu (about 150 TWD for a day's parking with the friendly old man).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to go for all sorts of delicious snacks and amazing Hakka cuisine! Various artisanal products like honey and pastries are also highly recommended ? Go spend the day and remember to bring your appetite!
