Best Chinese restaurant in Taiwan

B	Bar Nguyen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is located on the first floor, we were a bit confused as we thought both floors belong to the same place. The restaurant is an easy 700m walk from the gondola. We were able to enjoy the gorgeous view for about 15 minutes right before it starts pouring. It is a family run business with the children helping out their parents. We ordered a pre-set meal for 6 people. Most dishes are cooked with tea leaves and it was our first time experience something like this so we were very impressed. The place is not upscale or fine dining but the food, service, and the view were exceptional. It was worth the walk in the light rain. Some of our favs were the shrimp with fried tea leaves, tea infused fried rice, the chicken stew with tea bags, the mixed salad with a native green leaf that I'm not familiar with but it is very tasty. If it is your first time, it is a must try!

Can see Taipei 101 from certain seats. $560 NTD for Tiguan nim tea and Green tea fried rice! ? Lots of tea infused food to choose from. They teach you how to steep the tea and you get to take home the leaves that you haven't used.

The stir-fried rice is also great since it’s infused with tea leaves. Also a lovely view of the skyline and sky if you sit by the railings. You’ll see many beautiful stars on a lucky night.

Every time we thought the meal was over the boss would bring us another delicious dish. Would recommend this place highly. Great view, awesome food, amazing staff.

You can really taste the difference in your mouth. The view is also one of the best you can have in Maokong. In a sunny day it looks like you can touch Taipei with your fingers. Lovely place!

I strongly recommend chicken soup with tea and prawns with tea! Cod fish with tea and smoked chicken are also great. The price is about 550 per person.

Great to see it still running and new menus since we last came with lots of great choices. Speciality foods are braised or cooked with tea and have a great taste. The rice with tea was awesome and beef cooked with Pu’er tea also good. Intestines were tasty and the crispy fried tofu with tea also good. Parking can be a challenge so best to go in the week rather than the weekend, however it’s only a short walk from the gondola station, which provides easier options when busy. Their steamed buns are also great and worth a try. I’d recommend this restaurant. Open air style dining with views down to Taipei city and nearby tea farms.
