★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful temple, with very vivid and beautiful paintings, wonderful sculptures and roof decorations, and a nice view of Taipei. There is a lot of history and culture to see, but as a foreigner it is not easy to understand who this (Taoist) temple is dedicated to. The temple is actually dedicated to a Chinese general who became famous by pacifying and developing the Fujian region and therefore, who is linked to the non-aboriginal inhabitants of Taiwan. If you come on foot (from Neihu or Jiantan), you will be happy to find a water dispensers and toilets.
