★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We discovered this place by accident and couldn’t help but stayed for more than an hour just enjoying the space and the books. It was a nice place to chill and unwind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I requested a reservation a week ago by online and i visited there 1 minute later than my reservation.
No one was outside and it seemed like the tour already started, so i just waited for not disturbing the tour.
A few minutes later one man appeared and I asked him if i come in. But he just said only one word. “NOPE”.
So i said i already had a reservation and ask if my reservation was wrong.
And i asked politely if it’s because of being late.
But he jus ONLY said “nope” repeatedly without any explanation.
He has unnecessary high-handed attitude. I still have Unpleasant memory of that day.

However, you will need to encounter the suck attitude of the female guide who treated the guest without respect and with a tone of arrogance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not an actually library where you can study. Need to make an appointment and overall inconvenient. If you’re just trying to look at the books and view the building, then this is a nice place. If you’re actually trying to come and do work don’t waste your time

Historical sites rebuilt and opened to the public (appointments only)
An old Japanese style house with colonial Taiwan history; you’re welcomed with the smell of cedar wood and books and surrounded by old relics from the past.
We stumbled across this site and were lured in by its appearance. Due to some cancelled appointments, we were honored with the privilege to visit without one. I will definitely come back.
