★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I gave this hotel a solid 5 stars rating. Room is big, bed is big. Shower, bathtub n toilets r separated. Super clean shower room. Free parking, wash n drying machine. Free soda water n ice water 24/7. Free crackers, juice coffee n soda from 7am to 10pm. Great price and the staff is friendly. Not to mention great location. Good for 1st time visitors in Kaohsiung. 5mins walking distance to Love River. Plenty of street foods nearby. McDonald’s, family mart r just around the corner. Couldn’t find a drawback at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time staying at this hotel. First, they let us check in earlier than the usual time. As we had a small child who needed to take a nap in the early afternoon, checking in early without any extra charge helped us a lot. Of course we had asked them politely in advance via email that we had needed to check in early. All the staff we met were very helpful, kind and friendly. They even upgraded our room so that we had a spacious room all to ourselves. For me it was the largest hotel room that I have ever stayed in my life. The only thing that we thought disappointing was the breakfast. It was from other cafe outside of the hotel, not from the hotel kitchen due to the pandemic. Overall, we would definitely like to stay here again next time when we travel to Kaohsiung.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good Dim Sum is served here, with all the standards like chicken feet and spare ribs and shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings and fried noodles as well as chicken soup, rice noodle wraps, fried seafood rolls, and many others, cooked with fresh ingredients and traditional preparation techniques.

Thanks to the concierge for helping check in for us and patiently told us all the facilities of Chateau of Chine Hotel, really appreciate the detail-oriented service. :)
I also love the happy hour of the VIP Lounge on the 7th floor. It’s a good place to rest a bit, hang with some friends, read some magazines or watching movies or series.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel looks good, parking have to cross the street. Buffet breakfast was great. Staff are all great. Reason I'm giving 2 stars.
So bad experience with the room, unpleasant smell coming from carpet by the toilet, have idea on the smell already? ?
Some pillow smells other people's head.
Toiletries are not available by default, you have to ask.
Staff did provide air purifier but didn't change a thing, I was expecting for a room change but since it was holiday(new year's eve), being considerate we didn't complain further.
It was a deluxe room, rm 1036 avoid it if ever
