★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to learn more about the Hihi earthquake and for geologist! The preserved fault is amazing and the reconstruction is great! It is also very approachable by non geologist. The museum is quite big and it is definitely worth going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's one of the best preserved earthquake fault museum. Many experts consider it to be of high academic values.
For ordinary people, kids are able to learn the reasons behind earthquakes through interesting demonstrations and experiments. There's a "light sculpture" where we can see the history of the fault vividly.
I strongly recommend that parents take their kids here to enjoy a wonderful scientific trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum is built to memorize a disastrous earthquake which happened on Sep 21, 1999 in Taiwan.
It contains a small theater for documentary movie play and many earthquake knowledge facilities.
The most surprising part is that it only costs you 50$ NTD for an adult to enter, while the performance inside is much more valuable than the ticket price. (Children under 6 are free.)
This would be a spot that you should not miss when you visit the middle mountain area in Taiwan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take bus 6883 from platform 2 from the THSR Bus terminal and stop at the first stop. Make sure you are going to the right place as there are 2 earthquake musuems. We wanted to go to 921 earthquake museum which is alot closer and more entertaining. Spoke with the person at ticket counter and another at the platform and none of them told us we are going to a different museum even when we spoke mandarin.

The early morning of 21st-September 1999 , The biggest earthquake of this century in TW killed thousands of people and destroyed hundreds of buildings, the un-erasable memories are now in this museum to educate following generations . How strong is the power of nature!!
