★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basic, delicious, and affordable spot for dinner, lunch, or late night meal after leaving the bar. Soups and noodles are most common here. You can just point to choose food as a lot of it is on display in front.
There are tables inside and a few outside on the sidewalk. It’s all self service, so don’t expect a wait staff to bring you utensils.
Also no beverages here. Just cross the street to a convenience store and grab one there.
This place is the perfect spot to try local fare as the locals do, especially after a few beers late night in Ximen ding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't miss this local restaurant. We were there for take out at 11pm and still a very long queue. Tried the radish , bean curd, minced meat rice and the noodles. Radish tastes absolutely amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was ok but certainly not as good as a great many of Hong Kong YouTubers have promoted. With that much expectation, I was deeply disappointed by anything less than excellent. I would say it was a small eatery you may want to try but not so much one that you don’t wanna miss. This shop was like super famous among Hong Kongers and on my last (and only) visit, more than half the dine-in guests were from HK. In my opinion, it was overrated. They did not offer the best braised pork rice in Taipei. Hardly any meat therein. I honestly didn’t recall tasting any meat when I ate. Could only see tiny little pieces in the photo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great and affordable spot for travelers who are craving a late-night meal (opens until 4am!). Plenty of marinated dishes to choose from. You have to pick the things you’d like to eat and place them into a container on your own and then the staff will cut them into pieces prior serving. Most of their marinated dishes were awesome, especially the poached eggs and pork skin. Braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan) was also quite nice, with succulent braised pork on top of the semi-sticky fragrant rice, though a bit greasy.
