★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did not read any review of this place before. CMIIW, I think it's a calligraphy museum. It was nicely and artistically arranged (from the POV of someone who doesn't get art). I don't understand any of it tho.. and so many youngsters outside taking picture in front of this building, idk why. Maybe it's a historical building or to their POV, the design is unique. Or maybe because it's viral in their social media.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It took eight years of planning, designing, and construction to turn this 84-year-old building into an art museum. The architecture itself is an art piece with integration of the old and the new designs and materials. I strongly suggest to appreciate the building in the daytime and nighttime. Although it's not a grand museum with large square footage, it shows many details that are well-thought-out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful art gallery in the heart of Chiayi city. The building is beautifully designed, the pieces well installed. I happened to see an interesting exhibition on a Taiwanese mountain photographer, with original wet plates and enlargements (not vintage). Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Renovated from old buildings, large pieces of floor-to-ceiling glass fill the building with natural light. The architecture itself is a combination of old and new design. A nice place to have a quiet afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The space is bright and neat, yet not many exhibitions to see, around 70% of the space is closed which is quite a shame.
Washroom is very clean. They have free lockers for luggage storage (need to leave a form of ID card).
