嘉義皇爵大飯店 CHIAYI KING HOTEL

We came over every weekend and order same dishes every time. We love salmon fish and 3cup chicken and steak. Today, 20/7, we ordered salmon fish again and found out the fish was way smaller than before. We checked if anyone next to us ordered the same dish and found out they are having bigger size like we use to have. Even. Our plate for the fish was smaller since like the kitchen knew it was a small fish that’s why. Then we complain to the short male waiter and he made it a big deal like we are the ridiculous one and saying that’s the original size. Besides u guys need to pay more attention on staff training, we are not happy that we pay extra 80dollars to get such a small salmon fish. What a shame.

Great place, clean, big and helpful staff. Rooms/beds are nice. Good central location. Only down side was I could hear the lobby music playing in my room. Loud enough that it would keep me up. I never asked the staff, I'm sure they would have fixed it had I asked.

Very spacious and clean rooms. Rooms are not very modernly decorated. Breakfast buffet is mostly Asian style rice and dishes with some toast and jam, tastes amazing, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Staff are very friendly, very polite, give great advice for going to Alishan which most travellers do. Location is near to railway station, near Wenhua St night market, opposite a FamilyMart. They even have their own custom map which is very nicely illustrated.

Located very near to Chiayi Train station (7 to 8 mins walk), a conveniencestore just right at the door step of the hotel. The service staff are courteous and polite. Rooms are clean and spacious for a relatively affordable rate. The walls are a thin though, could hear people talking from the next room in the night.

My family stayed here for a night before heading up to Alishan the next day. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Chiayi Train Station and is about 10 minutes walk from the Wenhua Road Night Market. The hotel is located on a side road so it's relatively quiet at night. The check-in process was smooth and the reception staff were friendly. Our room was away from the elevator and was in a quiet corner. The room was well lighted, and there's sufficient space for moving about. The bed was comfortable enough. We were surprised to find a light switch outside the room. We could switch off all the lights in the room from there. This was totally weird because anyone could have switched off our lights while we were in the room. The bathroom was not well designed: there's a shower curtain for the shower area, but nothing to stop the water from flowing out of the shower area when you shower. The entire bathroom floor was wet after someone showers! Breakfast was primarily Chinese food (noodles, Chinese buns, vegetables, porridge), and toast. They only provide chopsticks, not even fork! We felt that this place was good for a one night stay. If we were to stay for a few days, we'd probably find a better hotel.

Located quite close to Chiayi train station so it's quite convenient if you plan to go to Alishan area. The reception lady can speak English which is great. She also recommended some good local food around the area. Room is quite spacious and they are quite clean. The bathtub is quite high though, so just be a bit careful when you get in/out of the tub. The breakfast is not bad. There are more Chinese food option provided, compared to very limited western food option (basically just toast and jam ). I like Chinese food, so it's good for me. There's also a night market nearby.

This hotel have an old feeling about it. The smell of somewhat like an old furniture and carpet. The staff is very helpful and can communicate good. The room is spacious but I did noticed some cleanliness issue, a used dental floss in one of the cabinets. The lights switch is also outside the room, I'm kinda confused about that. The hotel is just few minutes walking distance to station and night market. Right in front, a family mart store which is a big bonus.

The hotel offers a great king size bed in the room, nice sheets, clean bathtub, bright lights, a huge TV screen, tasty cookies, and stable airconditioning. Well, I got a wonderful experience here. Their homemade bread is amazing too. The hotel is at a hot spot, near the train station and night market. So you could explore the city easily and comfortably.
