Best Singaporean restaurant in Taiwan

G	Grand Cheng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dined there last night, The staff was very friendly. The decor was really nice. For me the food was tame and nothing exciting. The Laksa was quite reserved and needed more flavor or heat. I kept adding the hot sauce from the hainan chicken. The Hainan chicken was good and nice and moist with all there sauces. The pork ribs were to sweet. The satay was all right too. There need to be some char on them skewers, nothing special. The appetizers cups were interesting and playful and fun. The black sesame fried shrimp and heads were interesting never had that prep before but again nothing wow. Best dish was the Hainan chicken. Everything else was lacking in flavor or to sweet. Need some boldness and love and essence in there cooking. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

C	Clarench Ng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The satay meat was skewed too thick so the outer layer had bits of Chao Tar but the inner was not so cooked.I am all right with the medium cooked meat.The table beside us also gave the same comments about the satay so it's definitely not me who was fussy that meat was not so cooked inside. ROJAK is salty but not flavourful.I do like the idea of the assorted fruits but not authentic Rojak with tau pok and pineapples with loads of peanuts sprinkled at the top covered with dark sauce. Singapore food is full of flavours, not just salty.As usual,it's a Michelin recommended place, so I had certain expectations about the food. The service rendered was excellent. As a Singaporean,I think it is quite expensive, comparing the food quality served.
P	Photos Don't LAI on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Third time around (and numerous take-out’s in between) is still as excellent as the first. As a patron, it’s welcoming to know you can count on a restauarnt for its quality and more importantly consistency. Satay comes in chicken, pork, or beef and you honestly can’t go wrong with any...or just get all three. The Laksa crab is delicious and I might nominate Chope Chope to have the best chicken rice in town. By the way, my favorite take-out without a doubt is their char kwey teow. Yes, you should def get it when dining in too, but good luck trying to share it with others. Finally, even though I’m not dessert person, the dino chocolate cake is an excellent way to close the meal…if you still have space that is. LOVE this place.
T	TheLost Swede (TheLostSwede) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Higher-end Singaporean food, that has really been too localised in terms of flavour, which gives the food a very flat flavour profile. The surprise was the satay as the chicken pieces were huge and moist. Sadly the satay sauce wasn't all that great and the accompanying cucumbers were the cooking kind, with though skin. The char kway teow was nice, but lacking in flavour. The jackfruit curry didn't seem to have any jackfruit in it. The murtabak was quite nice. Overall a decent, but very pricy meal.

The char kuey teow and Hainanese chicken rice are as authentic as they come, flavor wise. The satay is amazing too but the peanut sauce is a tad too sweet not as authentic.
J	James Pan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy environment and friendly staff. Singapore/ southeastern Asia cuisines served with big portions. Taste is authentic and delicious. Best for a group and share multiple dishes with each other so one can try more in a single visit. Price is high but worth a visit.
