Lunch menu: good to try, but nothing more then that. There were four of us and we have managed to try the majority of lunch menu dishes. In total the bill was 5400NT assuming that we almost didn’t order any alcohol (only 1 glass of their cheap wine). I would give them 7/10 which is ok, but nothing more then that. Good: In general all food tasted nice, there were lots of interesting combinations and I couldn’t say of anything it was not tasty (except onion soup - it’s really so so, don’t recommend). The desert that was Tieguan Yin mousse was wonderful! Not good: They say of themselves that it is a French restaurant, but it’s quite far from authentic french cuisine. When you pay at least 1500 NT per person (assuming you don’t order any alcohol or extra price dishes) you expect something more then just tasty meal. Conclusion: good to try, nice atmosphere and high qualified staff that can speak English and able to describe to you in details the specification of each dish.

It was a good course franch meal and we ordered a Yiran duck as a main which is aged 14days. Staffs were kind enough and pretty professional thought the staff who served was a new to the chou chou team but not the floor manager or staff in charge was kind enough. Anyway it was not really a big deal anyone in Taipei should enjoy their meal. Lunch course is really affordable price and be aure that duck is only available for diner or special request in advance for lunch. Make sure to have around 2.5hrs meal time ~ You will be super satisfied ? with their course meal of you order at least 4~5 course. Cheers.

Worth of the chef's Michelin star reputation. Food is excellent and service is great. Prix fixe menu is 1488, tasting menu 2888. Extensive wine menu. Starters and entrées were excellent, I thought the main courses were only above average. Dessert was great. On the way out staff was setting the table with a ruler, measuring distance for plate and utensils. This place has high standards and strive for consistency. Will visit again soon. Overall great dinner experience.

The food is alright. Barely acceptable. Totally overpriced. Not sure what the wine pairing is trying to achieve there. Unnecessary. Service was without soul. Two stars for edible food. To be fair, the abalone and foie gras was good.

Presentation: 4 Taste: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Service: 4 Total: 2.5 Came here on a Monday night for a nice dinner to send off a friend who was leaving the country for a few months. Within 10 minutes of being seated, before we even received our first drinks, the manager came over to tell us that another table was complaining we were too loud. Sure, we were a little excited to have a nice night and good food, but were not decibels louder than any other table. We also happened to be the youngest table there and speaking in English. That put a damper on the mood. We ordered the middle set menu with a choice of 4 different mains as well as the cheeseboard. We all agreed that the crab tartlet amuse bouche and the kampachi beetroot salad were good. I liked the foie gras and my main of lamb. My friends enjoyed their fish and steak as well but thought the uni orzo with scallops was so-so. Presentation of the food was great, it all looked delicious, but half the dishes were average. There were three desserts on the menu and three of us so we ordered one of each and shared. The desserts were all substandard. The creme brulee was a flan, there was no brulee at all and it was very bitter. The chocolate cake was alright as was the almond souffle but instantly forgettable. Other than being "scolded" by the manager, the service was pretty good. Attentive but not intrusive and they explained each dish in Mandarin and English for my friends. Cocktails took longer than expected to arrive considering the number of tables but it was fine. In total with drinks, the middle menu, and the cheeseboard I spent just under NT$10K. I had been excited about trying this restaurant group but I won't be back to Chou Chou and I don't think I'll be trying any other of their other restaurants (Wildwood, Longtail). If you want an austere, well plated, but mediocre dinner in silence this is the restaurant that'll cater to you. If not, there are far better restaurants on that block in the same price range.

The interior design is beautiful. The food is decent. The tastes are ok in general. Me and my friend shared one of the dishes and asked for a small plate so we can split it, the waiter said they do not give empty plates to share, which is very odd.

Had a very pleasant experience here. Thumbs up for the service team! Food are amazing! Each dishes are unique and taste completely beyond my expectation! Very worth to try their winter tasting menu. Would definitely come back again for the next season. ?
