Ciyun Temple

Hope that one day can be opened to visit, thank you !!! Building status Ciyun Temple is mainly brick-built and adopts the specifications of Sankan shop house. The base area is nearly 150 pings and the total floor area is about 220 pings. It carries the traditional temple wooden structure, the main hall roof is a dovetail, and the pavilion pavilion along Hankou Street. The foot is a continuous arch brick structure, combining classical aesthetics and Fujian-style practical value. The clever combination of traditional temples and tower houses is a rare design in Taiwan's temple architecture. The first couplet on the first floor is "Cihui Jing Tan Jing Sui Dian". The second couplet is "Yunshan Tongwu Tao is empty in color," and it is horizontally criticized "Cifeng, Jade, Yun and Xiangyun." Under the eaves of the main hall on the second floor, two octagonal stone pillars are used to support the roof truss. The stigma is carved with gourds, fans, books and flowers, and the circular column crown is decorated with lotus petals. The lotus-shaped stone carving incense burner is also one of the main features of the main hall. There is a front temple with a balcony as a space for event ceremonies. The house on the right side of the main hall is a three-kan multi-storey shop house. The main building is brick wall. The three facades are separated by columns and columns. The façades on the second floor are all in the form of four columns and three windows. The ninth side of the sash window is designed with wooden grille sliding windows. The roof and the main hall are laid with Fujian-style brick and wooden tiles. Enshrine Ciyun Temple belongs to the Mahayana orthodox Longhua Zhai religion. The main hall on the second floor worships the Guanyin Bodhisattva, and in front of it, worships the two great Buddhas, Shakyamuni and Manjushri. The first floor is the living space of the Zhang family, dedicated to the Maitreya Buddha, the Zhang Jiuxuan and Qi Zu and the Zhai You tablets.

With the characteristics of red brick temples, it has been designated as a medium-sized temple in Taipei City's Municipal Historic Site. Established in 1840, it is a temple of the Longhua School of Zhaijiao, dedicated to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. After two reconstructions in 1898 and 1924, the construction of the monument was completed in 2004.
