★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 就是一岩崖峭壁，這是地標，行經此可抬頭看看峭壁，看哪個幸運兒可與台灣獼猴對視，就是不虛此行囉。
It is a rocky cliff. This is a landmark. You can look up at the cliff and see which lucky one can look at each other with Taiwanese macaques. This is a worthwhile trip.

Before arriving here, I saw a lot of monkeys, one of them was very large, but I didn’t have time to take a picture to get the biggest one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here during the winter and there were many macaques hopping around in the trees and eating berries. We even got to see a couple mother monkeys with babies riding on their backs. You have to be a bit quiet to not disturb them as the spook easy. We were patient and silent and saw over ten different individuals. We even got to watch one play in a tree top for over five minutes. They like to shake the trees to try and scare you away if you are too disruptive. Patience and quiet is key. FYI these are more keys and not apes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although "Cliff of Apes" seems to be a misnomer, I enjoyed watching several fuzzy monkeys run across branches and jump through the trees in this area. The little guys were quick and they camouflage very well in this area dense with vines, so getting photos was tricky, but I managed to grab a few blurry shots. It was kind of like "Where's Waldo" in popcorn popper. A couple baby monkeys played a game of tag around a tree trunk before disappearing from view. Then an older monkey stopped on a branch and screamed what I assume were monkey-language obscenities at us... obviously still needing its morning cup of coffee. I'm sure the number of monkeys you see (and their various personalities) depends on the luck of the draw, but we enjoyed getting to see a few as we wandered through their neighborhood.
