德元宮 - Dajia District

[Taichung Dajia, Shewei Huangzhai, Taiwan’s pioneer of equality and freedom] The Yellow House of Shewei, located next to the Deyuan Palace, is an old house with a history of nearly 100 years. Huang Qingbo, a gentleman of Taijia in Taichung, inherited his father’s business and succeeded in the rice business. The courtyard house was completed in the 13th year of the Taisho era (1924). The yellow house in Shewei is a private property. After the renovation, it has built a high fence to cover the sight of passers-by. The gate is closed and cannot be visited. You can only peek at the appearance from the height of the side wall. The yellow house in Shewei, the first entry is a Western-style Baroque building, with four batches of Japanese-style water on the roof. The most distinctive feature of the front gable is the destructured "broken hill" gable design. The broken gable creates a visually dynamic shock. There is also a "Fengyuehuai" sign. The clay sculptures are decorated with the theme of mountains Su, shells, flowers, aquarius, and animals. The arc between the corridors is arched, the columns are attached with columns, and the windows are all large.
