★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1947年3月19日， 二二八事件爆發後之三月屠殺， 郭章垣院長和蘇耀邦（宜蘭農校代理校長）、林蔡齡（台灣銀行宜蘭分行營業課長）、葉風鼓（宜蘭區署警務課代理課長）、曾朝宜（警員）、賴阿塗（警員）及呂金發（警員）等7人，於頭城媽祖廟前遭中國國民黨軍隊槍殺後埋於廟前廣場。歷史不能遺忘。
 On March 19, 1947, the March massacre after the February 28 Incident broke out. Dean Guo Zhangyuan, Su Yaobang (acting principal of Yilan Agricultural School), Lin Cailing (sales section manager of Bank of Taiwan Yilan Branch), Ye Fenggu (Yilan District Office Police Officer) 7 people, including Acting Section Chief), Zeng Chaoyi (police officer), Lai Atu (police officer), and Lu Jinfa (police officer), were shot and killed by Chinese Kuomintang troops in front of the Mazu Temple in Toucheng and buried in the square in front of the temple. History cannot be forgotten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 已有兩佰五拾餘年蠻有歷史的媽祖廟，廟內可以看到牆上的歷史古蹟與歲月痕跡，廟外廟埕也搭建遮雨棚還有一個小廣場，慶元宮還可以見到清朝許多官方或者是民間仕紳所致贈的石柱以及匾額。
The Mazu Temple has a history of more than 250 years. In the temple, you can see historical monuments and traces of the years on the wall. Outside the temple, there is also a canopy and a small square. Qingyuan Palace can also see many Qing Dynasty. Stone pillars and plaques presented by official or private gentry.
