Best Barber shop in Taiwan

P	Paul on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staying in a nearby hotel I needed a haircut and this looked a great place from the reviews. On arrival the barber jumped to immediate attention and all looked perfect. But not so fast! The ‘manager’ appeared and asked if I had an appointment? No I explained. Well ‘we are busy’ he said and added ‘all week’ for good effect. I looked around at the empty chairs and the expectant barber. Are you sure I asked? Oh yes came the reply. I stepped out into the empty street. No customers in sight. Off to the next barber. And to write this review. You might think this is reasonable behaviour and 1 star is harsh. But if it makes you read this and call first and saves you a walk then good! Also never in my experience have I seen a barber shop refuse passing trade. So if you don’t agree this is deserved for poor service at least you might agree it’s deserved for poor business skills!
P	Paul Zhang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow...Worst haircut I've had in 35 years. Just because you have a cat and dog in the shop and a bunch of tattoos does not make you a good barber. I told the barber to cut the top shorter so he shaved my head... Somehow he shaved the front and top shorter than the sides so I look like Mao Zedong...I look completely ridiculous. This is the only barber shop where they will sit you facing the wall instead of facing the mirror... It's like they don't want you to see how bad your haircut is going to look until they surprise you at the end...I highly recommend going to any other place than here... 不是語言的問題. 為什麼前面和上面比側面短? 我說的要短一點. 你沒有說會短很多. 鏡子為什麼不是放在客人的前面? 一定是因為我的中文不好! 不要來這裡!
M	Matt White on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guy with the tats on the side of his face does a good skin fade. Very meticulous. A bit on the pricey side. I paid around 30 usd, probably because I got a face shave and massage (Didn’t ask for it, not sure if it’s just included though). I’d be heated, but the fades good, so whatever. I don’t usually mind when the barber styles it with product without asking, because it’s easy to get it how i like it after I leave, but the barber put some pretty heavy product in my hair which isn’t really my style. Had to wash it out afterwards with a rag, so I could get rid of the wet shiny look. Can’t give a bad review though. I’d recommend the place because they’re professional and diligent, just be sure you know what you’re buying and what you’re paying for beforehand. The shave and massage was nice, but I didn’t ask for it and I’m still not sure if I paid extra for it.

One of the guys spoke flawless English so was able to translate what I wanted. The haircut and beard trim was better than my overpriced, trendy barber in London. The massage and hot towels were a bonus. I don't think i've had that level of care and attention before and the price was extremely good. The shop itself was really well decorated and cared for and the music they were playing was great. I want to move to Taipei and have them as my local barbers!

The haircut included lots of hot towels, amazing head and even arm massage on a very comfortable reclining chair. The haircut Was also great ?
J	J B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are barber shops with more reviews but I decided to come here instead. I’m glad I did! I asked for a skin fade and it was perfect! The shop has a very nice atmosphere. They can understand English and are foreigner friendly. Make sure you book an appointment as with most places in Taipei. Very professional shop! I will come back the next time I’m in town.
