The correctional institutions across the country are actually administrative and training units for policy formulation and personnel training. They do not house criminal defendants and inmates. They are located next to the Taipei Prison. The location is a bit remote and the interior scenery is diverse and rarely open to visit. There are dormitories and restaurants but none of them are open to the public.
