Because I wanted to get the third dose of the vaccine as soon as possible, many clinics in Taipei City and New Taipei City were full at noon. Later, I asked the hospital and said it was full, but you can call later to see if there is any residual dose. In the end, I was lucky enough to get the vaccine. A gentleman at the reception was also very kind and reminded me that I can apply for a vaccine passport after 7 days. Thank you for your service. Although I got off work and arrived late, the door was closed. I'm sorry ?

認真說對這裡的印象沒有很好 但還是剛好來到這裡打疫苗了 覺得有點混亂,也有點匆忙 防疫跟一般市立醫院還是有點差距 有點草草了事 停車也很不方便 實在不知道要停哪裡
Seriously, I don't have a good impression of this place But I just came here to get vaccinated. Feeling a little cluttered and a little rushed There is still a little gap between epidemic prevention and general municipal hospitals a bit sloppy Parking is also inconvenient I really don't know where to stop

Short version: do not EVER go to this hospital, it sucks. Long version: I've read good stuff online about healthcare in Taiwan, but at my biggest surprise I received prehistoric healthcare in that hospital, even worst than the ones I used to receive in Mainland China. I went there with a huge sore throat last week, basically with a bad tonsillitis and probably an otitis as well. At the reception the staff was helpful, nothing to say about that. Things went a bit trickier when I saw the doctor: he was an old guy (probably older than 75yo), shaking as hell. I have nothing against old people, or old doctors, as long as they are qualified and up-to-date with recent developments in their job, which is something I judge very important when you are in charge of other people's health. He barely check inside my mouth, and I can tell you my tonsils were very infected that day, and never ever checked my ear even after I complained 3 times that it was hurting badly. I even translated "otitis" in Chinese for him and he said "noooo". He made me have a blood test - where the nurse ( a guy) missed my veins twice (I wanted to tell him if he was going to miss it a third time, I would have do it myself - He even told me my veins were small, lol, you guys you see my arms.. absolutely no fat, and muscular, so you can see my veins PRETTY well) - to be very surprised to see that my WBC were higher than usual (oh really ? Well, I am SICK doctor, so yes, I probably have an infection therefore my WBC are high... Sight...) - He then asked me if I was coughing, I wasn't. He gave me an X-ray to do, and told me I had a pulmonary infection (I am not coughing at all). - In the end, this fantastic doctor gave me 2 intra-muscular injections of Gentamicin (they apparently give this in reanimation in France when people are going really bad, LOL), and 3 days of Cefaclor. He also gave me a cough suppressant (funny, since I was not coughing), and told me to come back after 3 days. The doctor never rub a swab over the back of my throat to do the quick test to know if it was a viral or a bacterial infection . His reflex was just to give me broad-spectrum antibiotics assuming it will solve the problem. FYI, this kind of behaviour will lead to a total resistance to antibiotics one day, one of the biggest concern of the World Health Organisation. I do not know if healthcare in Taiwan is generally as bad as that, but it was very disappointing. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL, at least try to find some private clinics or something if such things exists in Taipei. Oh, and in the end I had to pay around NTD1700 for all of this bad joke. I am wondering if the doctor is not doing extra exams (like x-ray), and giving extra non-required medicine (like the cough suppressant) just to get a bigger bill and to make us spend more money. Again, nothing against old people, but there is a moment when it's time to be responsible and to retire. You are playing with other people's health, and that is NOT ok.

Staff is impatient towards patients, which made it difficult for me to trust them.

A horrible experience at this hospital. Doctor and nurses were rude when I tried to understand more about my family's condition.
