★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the closest swimmable beach to Taichung City. This beach has two sections with the southern one being quiet and calm and the northern one often used by kite surfers. Upon arrival, just look at both ends and decide where to stay depending on your planned activities.
Da An Beach features the annual sand sculpting competition in early July and there is a Beach Resort opening in July this year that offers 2 outdoor swimming pools and several bungalows for rent. There is also a snack shop that sells bottled tea, water, and light snacks.
