遺址年代距今約7,000~4,700年之間，台灣新石器時代最早一層文化。
大坌坑文化製陶及磨製石器技術發達，大部分陶器在口緣下方頸部施滿繩紋。
大坌坑遺址包含多層史前文化層；除了最下層 「大坌坑文化」 外，中間有 「圓山文化層」、「植物園文化層」，最上面是「十三行文化層」。
遺址上盡是現代墓。

International archaeological code name: T.P.K, located in the northwestern foothills of Guanyin Mountain. It is a national first-class historic site. The ancestral culture of Taiwan aborigines in the Austronesian family may also be the ancestral culture of the entire Austronesian family.
The site is about 7,000 to 4,700 years ago, and Taiwan’s earliest Neolithic culture.
Dazukeng culture has developed pottery and grinding stoneware technology, and most of the pottery is covered with Jomon on the neck below the mouth margin.
The Dazukeng site contains multiple layers of prehistoric culture; in addition to the bottom layer, the "Dazukeng Culture", there are the "Yuanshan Cultural Layer" and the "Botanical Garden Cultural Layer" in the middle, and the "Thirteen Lines Cultural Layer" on the top.
The ruins are full of modern tombs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 很難想像現在為私墓地區的地方為古代遺址，山路十分陡底盤低的車子容易被刮到，山上景色很好，天氣好的時候，可遠眺淡水漁人碼頭與台北港！
It is hard to imagine that the place now in the private tomb area is an ancient ruin. The mountain road is very steep and the chassis is easy to be scraped. The scenery on the mountain is very good. When the weather is good, you can see the Danshui Fisherman's Wharf and Taipei Port!
