Best Hotel in Taiwan

R	Ronny Sim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helpful front office staff. Check-in as fast. Good for short stay. Stayed for one night on January 11, 2018. Central heating turned on from 7.00 pm onwards and switched off at about 3.00 am. Central heating not effective.Have to rely on electric blanket to provide warmth when sleeping. Hot water from the tap available only from 5.30 pm to 11.00 am the next day.
Y	Yin-Juei Chang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We paid NTD8800 per night; asked for additional blanket and were told that they don’t provide blanket, but can provide additional comforter for NTD100. There is no soap and we asked for it, and were told that they have soap but they don’t provide it. Their phone is not working so we had to call their front desk with our own cellphone. No additional service included with this rate, which is extremely surprising after staying at different hotels/Airbnbs around the world. Not recommended.

E	Edward Ch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stay here because have no other option, avoid these hotel if possible. This hotel doesn't worth the price. Room at fifth floor but there is no lift, we have to carry our own luggage all the way up, not suitable for old people. Room condition is old and mouldy, toilet is dirty. 2 star given because of their Shuttle service between hotel and bus station and bed warmer pad
R	Rachel Meng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent hotel, definitely not as cheap as other parts of Taiwan but that is the prices of Alishan accommodations. We had the 4 bedders room, although there was only 2 of us, as the 2 bedder rooms were sold out when we were there. Room was clean but cold at night. No provision of heater but there was a dehumidifier and a heater blanket placed on the mattress to provide heat while you lie in bed. Nice and friendly front house staff! Can join their sunrise tour at 300 TWD which takes you by their van at 5.30am. The advantage is that you don’t have to wake up super early to catch the Alishan train (usually 4+am). The tour also brings you to other attractions along the way.
V	Vicki Liu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 2 nights mid-November 2019. When we (seniors) checked in learned no heat unless indoor temperature less than 10 degrees C. (Would not have booked this room by internet if hotel had disclosed this policy.) We were freezing, complained and staff said they were prohibited from turning on heat by company policy. Only after loud and persistent argument and protest did staff say they would give us a small portable heater which barely worked for size of room. Room was not clean, towels were old, flimsy and threadbare. Overall our experience was not good.
G	Gwen Tran Huong Giang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old hotel but quite pricey (but to be fair, everything in Alishan are more expensive than other big cities). There is no lift so be prepared to bring your luggage while climbing several flights of stairs. The furniture in the room looks old (or even, unclean). Hot water is only available from 5.30PM to 11AM the next day. The “shower head” is fixed to the bath tub and placed at thigh level, so there’s no choice but to sit down in the bath tub to bathe. The towels look yellowish. The two stars given are for the staff though. They are friendly and were willing to advise about how to catch the sunrise.
O	Olivia Franslay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel but the price is not cheap. We choose the deluxe family room seems it's newly renovated. Expected they provide heater all the time but they only have central heater that runs for few hours if the temperature drop to certain level. But they provide electric blanket, which was the life savior. The room was clean and big enough for 4 adults to put all of the stuffs around the hotel. The best part is the heating toilet seat!
