這裡是著名客籍作詞作曲家涂敏恆的出生地，他生前創作很多有名的作品，如客家本色、送你一把泥土等，後不幸因車禍而早逝，一生共創作二千三百多首歌曲！該地同時是保育的重要地點，其中大窩溪為保育封溪，但仍可見三連潭古圳道石碑，喜歡慢遊的人，可以來走走。
