緊鄰鎮瀾宮旁的順天路，便是「大甲老街」。清代這一區稱作「大甲城」，是中部的經貿中心，後來隨著不同政府的市區計畫，拆毀了城牆，大甲城慢慢淹沒在歷史的浪潮中，古城的中心點即為今日的大甲鎮瀾宮。
An important area that has experienced major historical events in Taiwan. Regarding the origin of the place name of "Dajia", it is the transliteration of the "TAOKAS" of the Daokas in the Heluo dialect; this was the hometown of the Daokas a thousand years ago. Later, after the management and planning of the Chinese and the Japanese, it showed its appearance today.
Shuntian Road next to Zhenlan Palace is "Dajia Old Street." In the Qing Dynasty, this area was called "Dajia City", which was the economic and trade center of the central region. Later, following the urban plans of different governments, the city walls were demolished, and Dajia City was slowly submerged in the wave of history. It is today's Dajia Zhenlan Palace.
