★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Datun is a nice place for an easy hike and to catch some beautiful views of the falls. Coming and going by bus is possible, but the buses are TINY and get filled with people. That can be incredibly unpleasant, so consider going by car if possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place just discovered recently. Some elderly people took a nap here. The Yangming Mountain is a bit crowded but this park and falls are quiet. I can spend my whole afternoon here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beautiful steep trail along the waterfalls has been closed indefinitely due to heavy typhoon damage. No signs of restoration or repairs for over a year now. Damage is significant - enter at your own peril - but access from the top of the trail, near the restaurant and the water pumping station seems to be possible,although this maybe not be permitted as well. Steep, slippery stairs, cracks in the path and fallen tree trunks make this a perilous journey that is not for the faint of heart.

The trail is a lot of stairs in the woods, where you can climb to the mountain top.
You can take a bus 260 from taipei central station (HSR) from 9:00 to 17:00.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great whole year hiking place. It can lead to many hiking trails.
One can lead to Zuzihu area. There is a minenal water springhead in the middle. From there, a great Taipei city view can be seen.
During summer days, 26℃ is a great temperature. It is my favorite time
