There are some shops here but all of them closed during weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a high altitude fork / intersection of highway 8, one road goes to Lishan, the other one goes to Hehuan and the other one goes back to Taroko National Park. There is a public restroom here and a good view of surrounding mountain ranges, good for taking photos. It is also the gateway to high adventure for people who are looking to do mountaineering trails such as Mt. Bilu (through the 820 Forestry Road just after the tunnel) and Mt. Pingfeng. There are some stores here but they are rarely open. When we arrived, one vegetable stall was open, but when we came back down, nothing was open.
