Diamond Tony's Italian Restaurant 101

This is an iconic restaurant on 85th floor of the Taipei 101 building. It is a beautiful building which gives you 180 view of the city of Taipei. The restaurant is fairly big and has space for probably 300 people including some private space. I have had meals in both areas and the experience is slightly different though the level of service is not much different. I should start with the fact that it is pricey. The meal was delicious. Starting with the appetizer that was a mouth watering mushroom soup with truffles sprinkled over it. The 2nd appetizer were seared scallops that were perfectly cooked and went well with the asparagus and sauce. The main dish were New Zealand lamb chops, what is the word, mouth watering. To finish it off was easy on your stomach was the dessert that was nice cake filled with cream. The only thing that was not so memorable was the tea.

The most splendid view you can get in Taipei this restaurant is located at the top levels of Taipei 101 your view at the restaurant windows is the full landscape of the bustling city. The food and brilliant service is a 5 star rating from me. This is definitely a must visit. I love would to visit this restaurant if I’m travelling to Taipei again. ❤️

Not really match it’s price. Good thing first the view is just fantastic especially when you order the 17:30 seats from bright to dark. The food is occasionally satisfactory but not all. The live bank is not the best, the vocal was nice but the saxophone improvised too much to be smooth. The service needs most improvement that when they serve an appetizer or so, they mistook which person the plate should have gone. Or course we didn’t manage to find out at the spot but with that many options on the menu it makes a bit of sense for me. Then as we just finished taking photos they came up to us and move the plate to the right person. For neither sanitary nor satisfactory sake it’s expected in a restaurant at 80 up px. Of course they did some makeup to us by providing some sweets. But it’s the basic quality they need to maintain if they ever wish to say good bye to a satisfied customer.

Fine dining @Diamond Tony's Panorama on the 85th floor of Taipei 101. Very neat place and table arrangement. Big area for gatherings of family and friends or can be enjoyed on a simple date. Excellent food and service. A bit pricey but worth it coz the food is sumptuous. View from up high is breathtaking ??

Came here to celebrate us getting out of Quarantine, as well as our early anniversary. A pity the day we went the sky was extremely cloudy and there was no view of the outside, which kinda defeated the purpose of us being there. The food though was really good, the steak felt a bit average although the rest like the duck and soup were delicious. They also surprised us with an anniversary cake and a picture for momento which was really sweet. Loved the ambience and definitely a good place to dine at during a special occasion.

It's placed on the 85th floor and it takes 36scds for you to get there from the ground floor to the 85th! despite the fact, it's an Italian restaurant, I found it rather Asian restaurant than Italian! when you hear Italian restaurant you usually expect to hear Italian music but all I heard from the time I got till I left was typical Chinese music!

Food so far is really good, amazing view, the Service is great but; My friend is allergic to specific things in this case we told the staff that she is allergic to Mushrooms and that they need to take special care without orders, anyway she found Mushrooms in her soup and had an allergic reaction. I’m taking this very seriously so I took away one star.

85th floor Taipei 101 location offers spectacular views, and exceptional ambience and decor for a truly luxurious dining experience. The restaurant itself clearly deserves a 5 star rating, however, the food is not truly at the same level. My surf and turf, had somewhat dry lobster, and filet mignon that was a bit less tasty than what you would get at Morton's or the best teppanyaki for instance. My wife's wagyu steak, on the other hand, was much better. Fish appetizer was a standout, and the mushroom soup was also delicious. This is clearly one of the best dining locations in Taipei, but the food is a cut below the best, however still quite good. Prices on the holiday menu are eyewateringly high though, but the non-holiday menu seems quite reasonable. Live entertainment on Christmas Eve was nice!
