大導演侯孝賢在2007年曾以這家戲院為背景，拍了部只有三分鐘的短片，名為《電姬館》（The Electric Princess House）。
電姬戲院位於臺灣臺南市麻豆區中山路上，當地人慣稱為「電姬館」。該戲院落成於日治時期的昭和十三年（1938年），是由當地望族陳臣所興建，而目前該戲院已經歇業。據陳臣之孫陳昇陽表示舊稱「電姬館」中的「電」便是指「電影」，「姬」是從日文本義「公主」引申出「雍榮尊貴」之義。

The great director Hou Xiaoxian used this theater as the background in 2007 and made a three-minute short film called "The Electric Princess House".
Dianji Theater is located on Zhongshan Road, Madou District, Tainan City, Taiwan. The theater was completed in the Showa thirteenth year of the Japanese rule (1938), and was built by the local Wang Chen Chen. The theater is currently closed. According to Chen Chen's grandson, Chen Shengyang said that "electricity" in the old name "Dianji Pavilion" refers to "movie", and "Hime" is an extension of the meaning of "honour and honor" from the Japanese text "princess".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 美麗的老戲院，青綠色洗石子立面和圓形石雕字樣都還很清晰，電影票價還停留在過去的年代，期待能好好保存下去。
The beautiful old theater, the turquoise-washed stone facade and the round stone carvings are still very clear. The movie ticket price is still in the past, and I hope it will be preserved.
