★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a foreigner I would say it is kind of a "hidden gem" on the way between Taitung and Hualien if you want to try traditional Taiwanese food and you are of course hungry. You can leave your car on the car side. There are many buns to choose from (it is better to have someone to translate), I personally had the sesame one and it was quite nice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Chinese bun shop with unique bread flavors like taro (芋頭包) and brown sugar (黑糖). We ordered the cabbage (高麗菜) and meat (肉包) buns, as well as the bitter melon and pork rib soup (苦瓜排骨湯). The counter next door sells soy milk, coffee and milk tea. There is also a dessert shop next door. Parking is streetside.
