really good local (i mean local - aboriginal) food. The seaweed and egg, fried rice and wild boar were all really good. they are pretty laid back in there around service but come on, you're in Doulan. recommended

During the almost 45 minutes we waited for our dishes - one of which was fried rice which should be 5-10 minutes maximum - it became very clear that everyone working here was piss drunk. Now, I worked in restaurants when I was in high school and university, and I've done more than my fair share of drinking while on shift, but these people were absolutely tanked. Like, 3am drunk. It took them about 30 minutes to notice that they were out of two dishes we ordered, you could hear them dropping all kinds of stuff in the kitchen, and they were slurring their words pretty badly. I speak decent Chinese but honestly had no clue what they were saying to us. My wife is a native speaker and was also at a loss. When our food finally did arrive it ranged from disappointing to awful. After I paid the bill (reluctantly), and walked out of the restaurant, we saw the dude working there pick up the unfinished fish off of our table, take it to the kitchen, and start eating it with his hands. The "dining experience" here was bad and bizarre enough to inspire me to write the first restaurant review of my life. Would recommend eating elsewhere if in Dulan.

One of the best meal I’ve eaten here in Dulan. I came here around 11 AM on a Monday, so it wasn’t busy at all. We enjoyed our meal. The staffs are funny and friendly. Like a bit drunk funny. I can understand why the one star review came along since the staffs has this don’t-give-a-s**t attitude. Not saying they’re rude, just they’re pretty chill. PS. I can’t guarantee when they’re drunk tho.

I went about 17:30 and had the 飛魚炒飯 – flying-fish fried rice – and the 情人的眼淚, which (I had to look it up) is actually 雨來菇, mixed with basil and egg. Seriously tasty! The food prep took a while, so you need some patience (I recommend a good book). But it's well worth it. I'll be going back before I leave the area.
