★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 早上是一般的傳統市場，以前對東門市場的印象不外乎是又髒又陰暗，但近幾年來東門市場有稍作整理，讓人印象有比往常好很多，除了有原本傳統的店舖外，也有許多比較新的美食餐廳或工作室進駐，多數的餐飲都在傍晚五點多過後才開始營業。
這裡推薦給新竹當地人也推薦給遊客，裡面能找到很好吃的美食，吃飽後也可以到二三樓、頂樓晃晃，裡面有一小塊區域是在介紹東門市場小小改造的看板簡介。
比較需要注意的大概是，非人多的時段有些角落還是較為偏僻，建議女生不要單獨去，找人一起走走晃晃比較好：）

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 這次是一位住在新竹的長輩，帶我們過來東門市場，見證市場夜晚的魅力，很難想像白天是菜市場晚上竟然還能夠這麼熱鬧，這裡就像是一條美食街一樣，賣的食物五花八門，琳瑯滿目，讓我們出現選擇困難(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))完全不知道要吃什麼，但是這裡賣最多的大概就是跟喝酒有關的餐飲，下次如果有來新竹玩，住在這附近的話，我會考慮來裡面找一間有特色的小店，好好的喝幾杯(^з^)-☆
