My Indonesian helper's cell phone couldn't work properly yesterday, and I noticed that there were cracks in the glass panel too. So I took her to the store to seek help, mentally prepared that she may need to replace either the phone or the glass panel. The lady at the counter was very professional and willing to help. She determined almost immediately that the problem was not associated with the cracked glass panel. Rather, she said that the phone might have been switched to the blind mode by accident. She played with the phone a little, and turned to her computer for further help. Within a few minutes, she got the phone back to function, and returned it to my helper free of charge. I was most impressed by her honesty and professionalism. Although the glass panel was visibly cracked, she didn't take the opportunity to sell us a replacement glass panel. Rather, she provided the service free of charge. I believe it took her extra effort to get on the computer because the phone was on Indonesian. But the language barrier didn't stop her from solving the problem for us. It's great to encounter such a decent person at any time, but even more so when we are in trouble. May God bless her abundantly.
