★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite spots in downtown Tainan City. This old fortress probably is the remaining operated gate not only Tainan but all around Taiwan. There are many stylistic shops along Xinyi Street, mostly are coffee shops. Visitor step up of the fortress to image the scope of areas nearby. Historically there were many rivers passing through, nevertheless now they were buried under the main roads right now...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the only functioning gate of ancient Tainan city. Located at the south western side of the old city. Although you cannot find very exciting or interesting things around, you can still enjoy how the ancient ancestor of Tainan lived around this part of the city. However, some flags from the DPP candidates polluted the gate, they tied their flags just beside the gate making visitors very annoying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the only remaining gate to the outer city wall of ancient Tainan city. Also a gate closely related to the old port of Tainan. The waterway split into to five branches. The pattern is barely visible now, but could still be hinted by buildings and alleyways and such.
