★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best dumplings I have ever eaten! Judge variety of dumplings. They seems to export bun-pork dumplings as the mountains of them are stocked around the place. Sauces are what makes this place better than others. Three soya sauce based, two spicy ones and other which I'm not able to properly describe. My favourite place in Hualien! Highly advise checking if you are close by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good place, you’ll find some foods that are unique to Hualien. So if you’re looking for something you can’t get everywhere else in Taiwan, this is a good spot to eat at. Their Hualien style dumplings were actually pretty good. Would order those again next time I’m in the area. The hot and sour soup was also better than expected. At least one of the workers there speaks surprisingly good English and was very polite and friendly. Recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here we are on the Taiwan east coast just finishing our tour of the Taroko Route attractions.
Before settling in for the night at the local Goodness Hotel, it was time to seek dinner out. The hotel gives out complimentary use of bicycles so that how we found this restaurant.
The mission was simple. Seek out famous Taiwanese eats so we ordered 10 Shoalin Bow 50 NTD and Soup 35 NTD.
The bow were tasty (3.5 stars) but nada for the soup (generous 2 stars) so I rounded up to 3 overall.
Oh well, it’s back to the hotel for a free midnight snack.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing! We had the steamed buns, 1000 year egg with tofu, pork and cabbage dumpling, meatball soup, and pork noodle soup. DELICIOUS

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I come here for their version of xialongbao (small steamed meat buns) which only cost NT$5 per bun. They are soft, moist, and full of flavour. Perfect with some spicy soy sauce!
They also have really good dumplings, with a soft tender dough. A tray of 12 costs only NT$30.
So in summary, for the total of 1 single golden NT$50 coin you could have a pretty decent meal here haha. What could be better than that?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have 2 types of dumplings one is a mini bau style that's more breaded and the other is steamed.
I got the mini bau dumplings and they are my favorite in Taiwan. The flavor is a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The meat is well seasoned
It's just delicious. If you dine in I recommend hot and sour soup too!
