ECFA Hotel - Wan Nian

Stayed over here at ECFA Hotel Wannian. Front desk were helpful, friendly and ready to entertain visitors. They were able to help us to look for taxi. Location was convenient and accessible to needs. Room is spacious.

The hotel is right in the middle of city center. Very convenient as it is very near MRT station. Also a lot of eateries around. You won't go hungry. Breakfast in the hotel is superb. Staff is helpful as I was able to get transport to airport arranged by the counter staff.

Location of hotel is great. Very convenient and easy access. Rooms are spacious n clean. Staffs are pleasant and polite.

Strategically located. Very near to ximending. Hotel is also within a mall. Gundam lovers will love it here as they have some good prices here. There's eateries in the basement and I love their chicken drumstick rice. There is also an arcade and karaoke in that same building. We have been staying here since our second trip to Taipei and has always been staying there ever since for all our trips there. Staffs are super friendly too.

The location is right opposite Ximending. However, it's a bit hard to spot the hotel as they occupy 2 levels of a shopping mall and not a building themselves. The room was neat and tidy. However, it was pretty dammed and smells. There was no sound proof and I was woken up by the sound of the next door's boiling kettle. No breakfast provided.

You really have to read all the reviews to find this place. So to us it was very easy to find and the taxi driver also told us where to go. Our room is on the 6th floor right next to the Reception area. The elevator is just there and you can get hot drink just by the Reception. To us, everything is closeby. The room is not that big, but big enough for us to put 4 luggages on the floor. Slippers and all toiletries are provided and there is a small fridge and kettle. The only prob is the shower head that cannot be adjusted, so when you shower, the water only goes to 1 direction and the bathroom will be wet. Also, the towels they provide have holes and stain on them. Shouldn't give these to customers. Although they provide 1 floormat, eventually it will be soaking wet. So we had to use the hand towel to wipe the water. Beds are fine and comfy to us. We don't have issue with it. The WIFI is another issue, extremely slow!! In the end, my family had to use hotspot to connect. The location is great and it is inside a shopping mall. So for those who like shopping, this is great ! But unfortunately, not many places for breakfast.

For a hotel at $50 during the August period, this is so worth it. The basic amenities are all provided. There is a safe and a small area for hanging clothes. The room is considered spacious for 2 person. I like that the toilet and shower is also sort of separated so it’s not wet everywhere. We stayed on level 6, the first room from the concierge and going out to refill water is convenient. They also provide dispenser of other drinks like coffee and soya bean, all complimentary. Location wise, it is still convenient and a walkable distant to the ximen exit 6. Within a business/shopping building, you can find food at the basement and arcade at the top level.

Does the job at a competitive price for the area. The district is an excellent place to stay. Rooms are spartan windowless cubes and noise proofing is poor. The glass wall to the bathroom is pretty stupid - what about when you want to turn the bathroom light on in the middle of the night without disturbing your partner? The building can get very busy, with only 3 lifts and lots of things on other floors of the building including an amusement arcade and restaurants - waits for the elevator can get long in peak periods. Contrary to what the Google summary says - breakfast is not included as default (saw no signs of where it might be served either). Staff were generally helpful including organising an early morning airport transfer for us.
