ED's Diner美式BBQ燒烤餐館

You haven't been to this iteration of Ed's Diner if you haven't visited in the last year or two. The food has been turbocharged with flavor, and the beer selection will probably overwhelm you. Ribs aren't exactly falling off the bone, but they taste like heaven. Try the beans.

Came here for dinner with 3 families (11 people in total) to celebrate a birthday. Arrived at 6:30pm. Ordered a large amount and the food arrived gradually. The main course arrived around 7:40pm. We enjoyed the food. At 7:44pm while we were still eating they came to inform us that we had 15 mins to finish our meal and leave. We quickly tried to finish our meal because we didn’t want to tie up the table for the next party. They came again at 7.:58 and rudely reminded us that we needed to leave. We got up and noticed that there was a Karen behind us with her fingers in her ears. It was her who complained to the restaurant that we were too loud for her liking. We left and sat outside the restaurant for 30 mins and realized that there was no group after us. The restaurant is small and obviously a large group would create some noise. The way they handled the situation was extremely poor and we will never return again. Dearest Karen, it is an American BBQ joint not a library. I hope you can find some joy in your life.

Went there without reservation and got seated outside instead while many tables stayed vacant most of our dining time. Okay no biggy, the weather was nice and cool. It's was my fault anyway. However, the food was excellent so we could just sit about anywhere. The coleslaw was fresh and light, not too sweet. The biscuit was hot and buttery. The corn pudding was awesome, we were expecting corn bread instead it was better. The brisket was thick and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork was great too, nice and moist. Wife wanted more BBQ sauce but there was no squeeze bottle available. But I thought the flavor was spot on without drowning in more sauce, so I didn't ask for her. Overall it was a satisfying American BBQ meal for us Americans living in Taiwan. Wife trying to compare it to popular BBQ chains in the US, but there's no comparison. This is definitely better. Ed got his meat down alright. Will definitely come back again!

Great brisket and ribs! Will definitely try the pre-order BBQ next time.

Decent ribs, spectacular Beef! Had the combo for 2 and side ordered Salmon salad(two big piece of salmon)+ pork chop (tender).

One of the Best Beef Brisket in town, soft inside, crispy out!! Very high CP too!! 2nd visit cant get enuf, a must order!!

Hands down the best corn pudding bread I’ve ever had! Would come back just for this. BBQ was decent but was a little dry. This BBQ doesn’t have as smokey of a flavor compared to other places so some people may prefer that more. Beer selection is amazing. So many different IPA’s to choose from!

If you feel like gorging on meat and like it cooked to perfection, you can't go wrong with Ed's Diner! I have been here a number of times and the food is always delicious. Their pulled pork is so good! As are their ribs. All washed down with a cold coca cola, one of my fave combos! The seating inside is a bit limited although they do have seating outside but in the stifling heat of Taipei, you'd definitely want to be inside for this one. I recommended making a reservation!
