Eluanbi Lighthouse - Hengchun Township

If you are first time to visit Kenting, it is worth to visit this light house and the national park. The view was amazing during the good weather, great place to go with your family especially with kids, unforgettable view, no doubt why this place is so famous. Hope to visit one more time at night.

60 TWD to see the lighthouse under construction and when I mentioned this madness to ladies selling tickets they just laugh at me. For that I would give them 1 star, but you have to admit that the rest of the park is worth to visit. Great place to have a picnic, or just enjoy short walk.

The southern-most lighthouse in the island, eluanbi is pribablh the number one tourist landmark in kending. If you want to go and see the lighthouse, you will have to pay an entrance fee of 60 NTD per person. If you plan to drive, there is also a flat-rate parking fee of 40 NTD. Google map will probably lead you to an automated parking lot. If it does, turn your car around and go down the hill and you will see a wide open parking lot on your left. That is the entrance. The automated parking leads you to the southern-most edge of the eluanbi penninsula, but you cannot enter the lighthouse from there. Unfortunately, there are no English signs guiding you to the right place. If you have a dog, you can bring your dog to the national park as long as your dog has the proof of mad-dog disease immunization and is leashed at all times. However, there is a sign behind the eluanbi monument warning people of snakes on the ground, so make sure your dog does not go near any snakes. Eluanbi is worth a visit if you have never been to it before, but this place isn't somewhere you would visit repeatedly unless you're a tour guide leading a group of foreign tourists.

This light house is located in the southernmost point of Taiwan. This white colored cylindrical light house is famously called "light of east Asia". Entry fee is 60 NTD and this light house is surrounded by wide-open grassy fields with several properly maintained trails. Inside the park one souvenir shop is there and outside the main gate several gift shops are there.

A well maintained tourist park with great view!

Visited on a weekday (Monday). It's the only day of the week, they close the walled interior off from visitors for cleaning. Still you can see the light house and walled section from outside. The hikes to the ocean viewing area are nice and mostly well-shaded.

The only highlight is the scenic view of the park, suggestions 1) Allow to go up the tower with guided tour at extra charge, this make the visit educational and unique. 2) the souvenirs shop opposite the tower looks ugly, suggest to change it to a cafe so that able to enjoy the view.
