- loved the bathroom design
- food was creative but some hit and misses, like the desserts
- biggest issue was managing temperature of dishes! So many of the dishes were served luke warm! It dampened the experience
- service could be better
- favorite dish was the abalone and Kombu

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic evening yesterday with dear friends at Embers. Everyone just loved each item presented, very exquisite and based on Taiwanese ingredients and deep culture. A lot of attention to presentation and combinations of taste. The wine pairing was also excellent. Impeccable service, beautiful surrounding and most of all, talented and caring team. Will definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful restaurant that is also a thoughtful reflection of Taiwan. The main attraction is the food, of course. Prepared using local ingredients and methods, but with a twist. If you want a different experience that expands and delight your palete, Embers is the place. Talk to the chef, Wes, if you get a chance to appreciate the thoughts that went into his work. I will definitely return for more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant is beautiful. Service is great. But food is really mediocre. I mean disappointingly mediocre. And it’s definitely too pricey for the quality (not worth NTD 2500 per set). We walked away paying 3500 per person. And all 5 of us were quite disappointed.
The main dish - chicken - was overwhelmingly undercooked. We had to send it back to get it cooked more. The 泥鰍 appetizer was gross.
It’s certainly creative, but creative doesn’t equal tasty. If you feel adventurous and value presentation over taste, then this place is for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Everything is sourced locally in Taiwan. So are the dishes on the menu! Sweet potato, plants you find in Taiwan, 擂茶, local seafood etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the not so good looking dishes. It's not exactly the western eastern fusion molecular gastronomy that you would have tried, it's 100% Taiwanese and very thoughtful in all details. You can not taste anything like this elsewhere! That said I like the strong aroma of the dishes but they are all very flavorful which may be unlike the traditional Taiwanese food that locals prefer. You get 12 dishes for 2300, quite a good deal as this is a fine dining place but with a casual vibe. Wine pairing is a steal at 1100.
