The Erlun branch was formerly known as the Erlun police station. It was established on October 25, 32, Meiji (1899). It is the oldest police station in Yunlin County. It is a historic site in the county and an important cultural asset in Erlun Township. Play a very important role in the history of police administration in Yunlin County and the development history of Erlun Township. In addition to its historical value, the preservation and maintenance of the Erlun Substation is more important through preservation, to witness the development of the police system in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation and its long-term contribution to the maintenance of public security in Erlun Township and surrounding villages. Since January 2014, it has begun to activate the reuse of historical monuments and became the location of the Erlun Story House, serving as a community cultural stronghold for sharing, recording, organizing, and creating local stories.
