二溪國小學區為古人群居聚落。「二重溪」文義係指早期欲進入此聚落均需涉過二次彎延的曾文溪溪水，故有此名。本校自民國10年正式建校至今已98年，目前全校7班（含幼兒園1班），學生共55名。校內擁有豐富多樣性的校園植物，尤以琉球松、桂花樹及樟樹群聞名。
