Tiny but cozy French patisserie. With limited choice though but the service is great. Just one minute away from MRT station (Jian Nan Station)

Good texture, evenly distributed layers on cake. Had the Jasmine one, good laýer of texture and a bitter Jasmine after taste

Delicious and innovative desserts. I got great service today though. After your done there’s lots of drink shops and snacks nearby to satisfy your savory cravings.

Unbelievably poor service. I'm five months pregnant, took a seat while waiting to order. I was second in line. A pair of men came in, sat at another table, and ordered one of everything without waiting in line. I then got up to place an order to the "manager" Christy and then turned to sit down again. The same pair of men had rushed over to sit at my table, although they saw me there and I still had a glass of water on the table. I was disgusted (who steals seats from pregnant women?) but went to sit at the next table over. The jerks told the manager the rest of their party was coming and the manager had the audacity to ask me to move across the room to wait at a third table so those two jerks could combine two tables for the rest of their party. Then she let me wait for twenty minutes while preparing my order only to come out and tell me half of it was sold out. Offered a replacement option, then came out five minutes later and said that was sold out too. They seem to have no idea what they actually have in stock, as well as no idea how to treat their customers. It's hardly good service to let someone take a pregnant woman's seat and then move her AGAIN for their convenience. Disgusted by today's experience and certainly never coming back.

The desserts are fantastic. Textures were perfect, flavors were interesting. Perhaps the best French dessert in town, we came in on a Saturday, the dessert shop located on 2F in an office building, looking more like a lobby of the floor area, not the best location but it serves good treats here. You have to order drinks if eat-in, the staffs were helpful, gave rec for tea and detailed introductions on desserts. They will be moved to DaZi soon in December, hopefully will be back soon for the new location and more sweets.

Quiet and comfortable atmosphere, delicious pastries, well designed space, a little bit expensive

Escape from Paris is one of my go to stores for customized cake ordering! I order customized cake frequently and have tried multiple stores in Taipei. This place always finishes the work with such elegant features and thorough understanding of the customers’ desire. The most important thing is: they are the only store that makes not only beautiful but also delicious cake! What a disappointment it would be if the cake doesn’t taste good after cutting it out! And they have never failed me and my friends’ expectation on the appearance, the taste, and the service thus far. Nice store and definitely worth a try!!

Highly recommended for their elegant and upscale handmade cakes that are delicious and meticulously designed. The beautiful owner also speaks English fluently.
