★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just being there and seeing the place. And the name is a why question. I also surprisingly realized that it was New Moons Day! But it means nothing, here in Taiwan, because here in Taiwan it is fake, because nobody uses it. I did have my shofar. And that was interesting too! The day was nice and the place was pleasant. The staff there were also very helpful and pleasant too!

I wanted to see the destroyer but sightseeing bus fropped me here and it's too far for me to walk there....it's 50 taiwan dollars entrance fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More like a fort than a castle. Mostly in ruins, there is nothing much inside but a lawn & some refurbished cannons. You can choose to ride on a leg pedaling boat for a fee around the castle's perimeters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to see and take a rest. Really quiet here so you can sit on bench and just relax.
Admission fee is NT 50 for adults and NT 25 for students so no big deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a preserved ruin of a historic fort. Despite most of the structure is gone, it's still a very informative site. If you are in Tainan, chances are you are somewhat a history buff. You'll appreciate the moats, cannons, and how they relate to this strategic spot.
