EZ Mandarin

I took 20 hours of private tutoring over the course of 4 weeks in May 2017. My instructor, Jordyn, worked very hard to build upon my intermediate level Mandarin. I look forward to studying with Jordyn again in the future. While I am sure EZ Mandarin can provide learning materials, I chose to prepare my own topics for us to discuss. Ultimately we found out that the best use of our time was having free flowing conversations with occasional pauses to discuss new words or correct grammar. These would all be immediately written down and voice recorded into my digital flashcard deck. The classroom environment was perfect for this as whereas a coffee shop would present difficulties. Jordyn does a great job of introducing relevant and high yield words on the fly that I could immediately implement into my active vocabulary. Furthermore she constantly corrected my tones without any sense of impatience or irritation. Most importantly, Jordyn was flexible and willing to adapt her teaching methods to my particular learning style. I am very satisfied with my experience and results with EZ Mandarin. I also spoke to a few students who had started learning Chinese as complete beginners with EZ Mandarin. The progress they achieved in a short period of time was quite impressive. Therefore I would recommend EZ Mandarin to beginner and more advanced learners alike.

EZ Mandarin helped me take my Chinese to the next level. After studying in group classes at a handful of other schools in Taipei I still found myself choking up in conversations with native speakers. The pace of 1 on 1 classes at EZ mandarin closely reflects that of an actual conversation, there's no waiting for your turn, preparing something in your head. It really challenged me at first, but as I got used to it, I found my real life conversations started to flow more naturally. My teacher is fun, enthusiastic, energetic and generally a joy to be around. I look forward to my classes. Highly recommend EZ Mandarin to anyone wanting to learn Chinese!

I took Mandarin classes with Jordyn over a course of 3 weeks while I was in Taiwan and she was great. She catered the lessons to my individual needs and goals and was always very thorough in our lessons. My Mandarin improved tremendously in those 3 weeks. I now have her Skype with me and my children so that we can continue to learn from her. Her personality is very warm and fun and makes learning Mandarin fun. I highly recommend her.

EZ Mandarin helped me tremendously with learning Mandarin. I went from knowing only a few basic words to now being able to confidently speak conversations with locals here in Taipei. I took 1on1 Chinese classes here for a little over two years. I tried just studying by myself the first few months being in Taiwan, and I made very little progress despite spending a good amount of time on it. I took lessons with Zoe for a little less than a year and then with Shayla for over a year. I've learned a lot and can express myself in Chinese in many situations now. The teachers and Jordyn were always very helpful, patient, encouraging, and willing to help me study I don't have time to continue now because my work situation has changed, but I've gained a lot in my time here, and I recommend the school and the teachers for people wanting to learn Mandarin. EZ Mandarin is a very good school with very good teachers. They were very attentive to my needs and were friendly and fun to study with. Learning Mandarin can be a bit daunting and overwhelming at first if you have not studied similar languages before. However, you are in great hands if you choose EZ Mandarin school either way. The classes are structured very well and the teachers make the whole learning process fun and effective. I came to the school without any knowledge of speaking or listening and they made it very easy for me to understand the basics quickly and efficiently. Jordyn was an excellent teacher and she helped me understand a great deal within the time I as there.

I went to EZ Mandarin during my short stay in Taiwan and thoroughly enjoyed learning mandarin there. The instructors were able to provide me with a structured program which helped to build my vocabulary, grammar, and confidence in the language. They were also very accommodating to my schedule and were able to move class times to meet my needs. Classes were conveniently located next to a train station. Overall, I found EZ Mandarin to be a wonderful place to learn mandarin.

The Absolute best Chinese teachers in Taiwan! The teachers are very down to earth and teach Chinese in both a fun and practical way. Highly recommended!
