Zheng Chenghuang’s singer Li Maochun retired from the current site of Fahua Temple and named it Dream Butterfly Garden. Later in the Qing Dynasty, it was converted into a temple dedicated to Guanyin. The Kaiyuan Temple in Taibei District is also known as the two ancient Buddhist temples in Tainan. Quiet and quiet environment Not too much human interference Comfortable to the heart is very peaceful The sound of the chanting is also in the ears. Really worth coming Remarks: There is a lovely bakery next to Fahua Temple. The bread is baked at 11:00 am, healthy and delicious. It’s a small visit to the Fahua Temple.

Fahua Temple is located in the Tongpanzhan in the Central and Western District, on the north bank of Zhuxi. Formerly known as the Dream Butterfly Garden, the mansion of Li Maochun, the temple was originally the residence of Li Maochun, who came to Taiwan with Zheng Jing in the last years of the Ming Dynasty. Because of his unintentional name, he planted plums and bamboos here, built a garden to practice chanting, and was called Li Bodhisattva. . The temple is also one of the seven temples and eight temples in Tainan Fucheng. It is very close to Zhuxi Temple, two quiet urban secrets can be visited together.

The tombstone of Xie Xinglou, a talented scholar in Fucheng during the period of Japanese occupation, was found to be placed beside the ruins of Fahua Temple. When the Enlightenment Native Culture Teaching Association conducted a field visit a few days ago, an important cultural relic was found in the Fahua Temple. The inscription behind the inscription was inscribed with his own seven unique poems. The society believes that it may be a rare authentic existence of Xie Xing Tower. Xie Xinglou was born in a prominent family in Fucheng, and his family studies. His grandfather, Xie Siwei, was a fortune in Tainan at the end of the Qing Dynasty. He was awarded the title of fourth grade constitutional official by the court because of the famine in Shandong. When Taiwan ceded Japan, Xie Siwei not only signed and guaranteed the circulation of the official bank notes of the Democratic State of Taiwan with his family property, but also organized Liu Yongfu's anti-Japanese military pay. Xie Xinglou is the son of Xie Ruichen, the eldest son of Xie Siwei. He was born in Anping and has excellent poetry and essays. He graduated from the Department of Political Economy of Waseda University. After returning to Taiwan, he devoted himself to advocating local lantern riddles and founded Xinglu Wenhu Club. His cousin, Xie Guoyong, was an art teacher at Nanyi Middle School. He was the first generation of artists after Taiwan's restoration and a founding member of the South American Academy. This is Xie Guoyong's granddaughter Xie Peirong

The monuments are quiet and solemn. Unfortunately, the monks and nuns are not good at driving cats and dogs. Master said that he bought 2 cat traps and caught a bunch of cats and threw them to the cremation field. Whether it is a meritorious act or a sin, please tell Maitreya Buddha! There are large and ferocious stray dogs and cats, there is no place to hide, there is no home nearby, and there is no love mother who dares to feed there, do you want to kill the cat? After hearing the news, I went to the cat and couldn't find the cat. Originally, the temple gate was not closed, but some tramps would stay there at night, and they also stingyly closed the temple gate in the name of epidemic prevention. There is also a sticker on the door in the Buddhist Holy Land that prohibits dog walking....If you can’t tolerate all things, can you still be called equal? On the contrary, Zhuxi Temple also has 2 fat stray dogs, which is more caring

A very quiet temple, located on Fahua Street (between Datong Road and Wufei Street) in the Central and Western District of Tainan, near Tainan University. I found this temple because I passed by Tainan University and the "Early Breakfast" on Wufei Street. Because I go to eat too often, I once wanted to say that I was walking around the nearby alleys, but I found out by accident. Although I didn't really visit the temple, I just passed by outside, but I was deeply infected by its peaceful atmosphere. Engraved with traces of history, it has witnessed the development of this place for decades, and every mottled fragment is a story. Thinking of this, I can't help but feel awe. Every time I pass by, I will recite a passage of scriptures in my heart, and I will also bow my hands together. You will unconsciously calm down and slow down, which is also a feature of Tainan.

Really great place to visit off the beaten path. It took some effort to find since Lonely Planets instructions were a bit off (look for house number 46, not 76) and then down the adjacent alley. We spent a lot of time looking at the very large and very scary sculptures of demons and the cute big Buddha. Deftly recommend!!!
