★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hole in the wall breakfast counter. Ask for the picture menu and zero in on the rolled omelette section at the bottom left (if you don't speak the language). Wash your meal down with the honey milk tea. Locals will jump the queue if you hesitate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small neighbourhood shop frequented by locals for quick takeaways. This place has been there since my last visit in 2014. The cheese toast was alright, it came with an egg and a piece of lettuce. The hot yuzu green tea (柚子绿茶) is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good dan bing but they aren’t used to getting large crowds so there lacks a queueing system , some guy cut the queue and ordered in front of me! (I was in an unusually zen mood so Ive let it go)
I accidentally bought pancakes from the joint next door- there is a HUGE difference in quality. This one is more expensive but portion is a lot bigger, and 100% freshly made!
Avoid the one next door!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small local shop serving 蛋餅 (danbing - Chinese egg omelette) - savory crepe with a layer of scrambled egg, bits of lettuce, and an ingredient of your choice. They also serve sandwiches and a variety of sweet milk tea type drinks. There are a couple small tables in front of the shop where diners can enjoy their breakfasts.
This danbing was really, really good here! I got the danbing with tuna for NT$60, paying after I was done with my meal. I love the fresh, chewy texture of the crepe here, especially amazing when hot and topped with their soy sauce. The people working here seem really nice and courteous too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local mom & pop shop for a quick and cheap breakfast! We ordered a variety of scallion pancakes + eggs and Taiwanese sandwiches (corn, bacon, ham), all of them were so delicious we got more to go! The owners are also very hospitable, will certainly be back when we’re in the area!
