★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a clear and sunny day you can see the Taipei 101 from the top. There is plenty of places to sit down, take a rest and even have a picnic. Very popular with older people and families with kids. The hike takes 30-40 minutes and it's very easy with paved steps almost all the way. Great place for an afternoon out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite popular on weekends but it is deserved. The trail is mainly in the shade, not too long. Good views of the surrounding mountains are rare but pleasant when the view through the trees is possible. It's a bit steep, but like many trails in Taiwan. Well, we enjoyed it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best trails in greater Hsinchu area, which takes you about an hour or two to complete the whole route. You can easily enjoy the view of Hsinchu area and even Taiwan Strait when the weather is good. Taipei 1-101 can sometimes be visible at the pavilion around the mountain top. Parking is easily accessed and situated not far from the entry of the trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place for a morning hike! There are lots of stairs so be sure to wear the right shoes! The scenery is absolutely stunning and the other hikers on the trail are very friendly. There are many places to take great pictures and once you reach 中坑山 you can keep going onto another trail that will eventually loop around. It will add about 2 hours into your hike but it's well worth it! Even if you just stop at 中坑山 it's still a semi-challenging hike up the mountain and the views from the top are really something!
