★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Intersection point of several treks/roads leads to seperate direction within Taipei & New Taipei city.
Locate at around 600 meters altitude so there will be temperature drop all the way up here. Gust wind pretty strong from time to time affected by the landscape within this area.
It also serves as the destination of one famous mountain climbing biking rout in Taipei, if not the most.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a bit more than an hour from the trail entrance to the sign post of 2.8 km you’ll see the magnificent pine forest, comparable with the National park at high altitudes! Before getting here, you’ll walk by steep staircases but not really difficult! Worth the long walk! You can even see Keelung islet and mountain in the distance! Amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a landmark for hiking and cycling but also one of the stops on the Taipei Grand Hike trail. There is no real parking lot, so people have to park on the side of the road, which does not offer a lot of space. So, it looks interesting to come (or leave) by bus, thanks to M1 bus from Jiantan Station, but it is quite a rare bus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take time to relax yourself between sea and mountain.
The steps at the entrance are really torturing. You will doubt how you could clime this tilted slope when returning trip. But you did it. It is a kind of validation.
The trail is of diversified scenes. If the sky is clear you can overlook Keelung islet and Mt. Keelung. Of course, Keelung city is out of questions. You can surf on the grass land when arriving 石梯嶺. By the way, there is forest in the middle of the trail welcoming you with open arms. You will definitely become the fairies tangling in the woods.
Enjoy the scenery and the breeze.

It is a tough ride though for a youbike which needs more gears to pedal up the peak.
