★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 年久失修、步道崎嶇、雜草叢生，危險步道不建議前往，下去輕鬆，上來累到爆，來回要抓2小時，午後下雨別去，有山洪暴發可能也要注意蟲跟蛇出沒。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鳳凰瀑布距離嘉義算滿近的，經過半天岩紫雲寺沿著159甲大華公路走，路邊里程指標23.5km再拐個小彎就看到步道的入口了，如同嘉義的北回歸線23.5度很好記。入口可停一兩部車子或機車，沿大華公路往前50公尺處有間番路鄉公所蓋的化妝室可先上一下。從入口到瀑布的步道長度約600公尺，海拔向下的落差約200公尺，是陡下的階梯，但間距很小要小心走或者乾脆就一次跨兩階。有在爬山的人下去約20分鐘，上來約25分鐘。
