Good

Very clean with good signage, ample seating, and a well-stocked 7 Eleven. Service want very friendly, but that would vary. The station is also close to a few great restaurants and hotels.

This particular station is clean and well maintained.

Okay, a railway station. That's all.

After being totally renovated and a brand-new station is becoming born again.

I've found Taiwanese people are generally friendly and helpful. But I was shocked to find that the ticketing staff at this particular station are the exact opposite. If you don't speak Chinese, or are not familiar with ticketing in Taiwan, don't expect any help from any of the staff members. They are rude, won't even look at you, and will point you to the machines. To get any help, a good samaritan showed me how to use the ticketing machines. As for the station design, I find the south entrance to have poor flow, given that they are using the back as an entrance for the new bus station, you have to use a side entrance that feels seedy. There isn't enough seating in the station. Just 3 rows of seats crowded in the center of a wide open space that make you feel like the center of attention. Still, compared to the train and subway stations in NYC, it is worlds ahead, spacious, modern, and very clean. Service/1 Cleanliness/5 Design/3
